Fashion Week Packs Up, Entrance Structure Taken Down

fashion-week-entrance-removal1 The Fall 2011 Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week is officially over, and crews have been working over the weekend to take down the tents at Lincoln Center’s Damrosch Park (near 62nd between Columbus and Amsterdam), along with the entrance structure. After several questions from readers about the logistics of the seemingly floating marble-like entrance structure that welcomed Fashion Week attendees, we were finally able to see how they did it. The signs have been removed, showing a massive metal structure supported by beams from behind. Click through for more photos of the disassembled Fashion Week structure.
