In only a few hours, one of the largest fashion shows in New York City history, will take place on the Upper West Side. Fashion’s Night Out: The Show, an event featuring “public” seating for 1,500 and over 150 models (including Naomi Campbell, Gisele Bundchen, and Adriana Lima), is slated for tonight at Lincoln Center’s Josie Robertson Plaza (near Columbus and 64th). While tickets to the event sold out in a matter of minutes (with a flood of traffic actually freezing up Lincoln Center’s website for 30 minutes), the event will be broadcast on CBS.com starting at 7:00 pm with host André Leon Talley, a contributing fashion editor for Vogue. The huge demand for tickets also led Lincoln Center to offer a special screening of the show from Alice Tully Hall (65th between Broadway and Amsterdam), with a special panel of top fashion designers discussing trends before the show. Tickets for the screening are available through Lincoln Center’s Fashion’s Night Out: The Show website.
