Film Series this Weekend: 75 Years of 20th Century Fox

Friday, September 3rd, 2010

20th_century_foxIt’s time for another great film series through the Film Society of Lincoln Center.  20th Century Fox is celebrating its 75th year casting its iconic searchlights on movie audiences throughout the world, and the Film Society plans to celebrate this historic anniversary with a weekend of screenings and special appearances, including newly restored prints, 70mm epics, and the 40th anniversary of Robert Altman’s M*A*S*H.  From the 1950 Bette Davis film All About Eve to the fascinating 1999 movie Fight Club, there is something for everyone in the weekend-long film festival.  In addition to the series of great films, the special anniversary screening of M*A*S*H taking place tomorrow includes a very special Q&A with cast members Elliott Gould, Sally Kellerman and Tom Skerritt, and Kathryn Reed Altman (widow of Robert Altman) following the screening.  Each event is offered at a Labor Day Weekend discounted price of $5-$9, with a weekend-long all-access pass going for only $29-$49.  Click through to check out the full schedule of 20th Century Fox films playing this weekend.
