New CBS drama Person Of Interest is back in the neighborhood today.

The show filmed in the vicinity of Broadway & 63rd on 9/12 and 9/20. For today’s action, they’re moving north.

While out shopping for avocados, I spotted the tell-tale “No Parking” signs along Broadway, between 78th & 79th, as well as 79th between Broadway & Amsterdam. It looks like production crews are going to be out in full-force.

If you’re not familiar with Person Of Interest, it stars Jim Caviezel and Michael Emerson. Here’s the plot summery, per Wikipedia:

Mr. Finch (Emerson), a mysterious billionaire, has developed a computer program that predicts the identity of people connected to violent crimes that will take place in the future. However, the program has its limitations: for example, it cannot predict whether the person will be a victim, perpetrator, or witness, nor can it predict when or where the crime will take place. Unable to stop the crimes on his own, Finch hires John Reese (Caviezel), a former CIA agent who is presumed dead, to help stop the crimes from taking place.

CBS was so high on the new series that they bumped CSI – a Thursday night staple for 10 years — to Wednesday to make room for it. The show was the network’s “highest testing drama pilot in 15 years.

I haven’t seen the show, but I just did some Googling and apparently ratings for POI are not what the network was hoping for. Either way, if you’re into celebrity stalking or watching TV magic being made, this should fit the bill.
