Fireworks Show Over Central Park Tonight To Celebrate Sunday’s NYC Marathon

Just a quick note that if you hear explosions coming from Central Park this evening, we’re not under attack.
As part of the celebration for Sunday’s NYC Marathon, there will be a fireworks show in the park tonight.

The show, sponsored by Poland Spring, starts at around 7:30 pm. The official marathon site says the fireworks will be “above the finish line,” which is at 67th & West Drive. However, I’ve seen other sites mention that they’ll be at Cherry Hill.
Regardless of the exact location of the launch site, if you can find an unobstructed view of the sky you should be able to catch the show from a variety of locations both in and around Central Park.
H/t to MUW reader David.
