Saturday, July 4th, 2009

nyhist1Join the New York Historical Society for a Fourth of July celebration featuring actors and re-enactment troops of the American Revolution from 10:00 am to 5:00 pm.  This free admission* event gives you a chance to talk to “Benjamin and Mrs. Franklin” and learn from troops of the 4th New York Regiment about the American Revolution, all while getting free popcorn (while supplies last) and a storytelling session at 2:00 pm.  You also get a 10%-20% discount (depending on whether you are a member) at the Museum Store if you don red, white, and blue.  Sounds like a great way to celebrate the fourth with the family!

* Free admission is for Council District 6 residents (Upper West Side up to 96th) and anyone wearing red, white, and blue
