Free Cooking Demos at Whole Foods Markets on Friday

whole-foods-808 Come to a New York City Whole Foods Market on Friday from 11:00 am to 3:00 pm, when City Harvest volunteer chefs will provide simultaneous free cooking demonstrations as a part of City Harvest’s Nutrition Education program. The program helps provide tools to low-income individuals, families, and communities to help them prevent and manage diet-related diseases like obesity and diabetes. Friday’s event is a part of Whole Foods Market’s holiday season-long effort to raise funds to help City Harvest feed the hungry in New York City (Whole Foods has raised a donation of 100,000 pounds of food to City Harvest so far in 2009 alone!).
