Posted about the 4th Annual Free Metropolitan Opera Summer HD Festival on Friday.

Just a quick reminder that tonight marks the third evening, with a free screening of Bellini’s La Sonnambula starting at 8:00 pm.

At the moment, weather.com says 74 degrees with only a 10% chance of rain at 8:00 pm.

More than 3,000 seats are available on a first-come, first-served basis at Lincoln Center’s Josie Robertson Plaza (Columbus, between 63rd & 64th):

Natalie Dessay and Juan Diego Flórez deliver the bel canto fireworks of Bellini’s score. Mary Zimmerman’s inventive production places the action in a contemporary rehearsal room where a production of La Sonnambula is being prepared.

Conductor: Evelino Pidò; Production: Mary Zimmerman; Natalie Dessay, Juan Diego Flórez, Michele Pertusi

Running Time: 2 hours 17 minutes

(Original Transmission: Saturday, March 21, 2009)
