Free Show, Fireworks on the Great Lawn
Come to the Great Lawn (Central Park, mid-park between 81st and 85th) tonight or tomorrow night for a great free show. The New York Philharmonic, conducted by Andrey Boreyko, and the Shanghai Symphony Orchestra, conducted by its music director Long Yu, will share the stage tonight to celebrate the opening of the New York Philharmonic’s 46th season of Concerts in the Parks. Enjoy a wonderful program with works by Tchaikovsky and Gershwin, among others, and stick around for a fireworks display to follow the performance. Note that tomorrow’s show will feature the New York Philharmonic and fireworks only.
