In case you missed it in the “Today On The UWS” post, I thought it was worth repeating that West Side Wine, located at 481 Columbus Avenue (@ 83rd) has a pretty cool free event tonight.

From 5:00 to 8:00 pm they’ll be offering tastings of “a white, a red, and a killer bubbly that’s a Manhattan exclusive — only available at West Side Wine.”

Free booze alone is impressive enough (and a great way to start the weekend), but what raises this tasting to the next level is that Chef David Seigal from The Tangled Vine will be providing free food samples as well.

If not for the fact that I have a long-standing commitment at the same time, I’d be all over this.
