FRIDAY: Kid Stuff — “Cupcake Club” Book Signing (With Cupcakes) At UWS Stoopher & Boots

Nice event tomorrow (Friday, 10/5) at UWS kids/gifts boutique Stoopher & Boots (385 Amsterdam, between 78th & 79th).

Authors Carrie and Sheryl Berk (Carrie is 9) will be signing copies of their books from The Cupcake Club series while parents and kids can much on actual cupcakes (from DC Cupcakes).

The action runs from 3:00 – 5:00 pm.

New York Family ran a feature on Stoopher & Boots and its owner, Stephanie Goldstein, earlier this year — definitely worth a look if you have young ones and aren’t familiar with the store.

It’s the kind of small, independent shop that use to be a mainstay in the neighborhood but is now becoming a rarity. This is a great excuse to give it a visit if you haven’t already.
