This Friday: A Taste of Jazz at Columbus Circle
The Shops at Columbus Circle and the Restaurant and Bar Collection are the two groups that represent the fabulous shopping and dining portion of the Time Warner Center in Columbus Circle. On Friday, they join with Jazz at Lincoln Center to host A Taste of Jazz, the latest event in the Circle of Taste series. Chefs from the restaurants in the building will present dishes inspired by the great American jazz cities while members of the Jazz at Lincoln Center Orchestra put on a special performance. Enjoy some bebop, swing, and New Orleans jazz while some of the best chefs around cook up some delish and jazzy dishes to honor the first ever official Jazz Day. From Masa’s Masa Takayama cooking a Los Angeles Jazzy Duck (marinated duck with foie gras inside of a mooshu skin) to A Voce’s Missy Robbins making Chicago Citrus Cured Sardines and Fennel to Landmarc’s Marc Murphy creating a New Orleans Shrimp Gumbo, you will get a chance to sample dishes from all of the fabulous restaurants in the Time Warner Center. The $85 ticket price includes food, a full bar, and the great jazz entertainment.
