Upper West Side Gossip Girl fans will be glad to hear that the show is taking some of its characters to our neighborhood.  Zap2It reports that Desperate Housewives and Mad Men star Sam Page has been cast to play a Columbia professor in a multi-episode arc for the show, with the story reportedly taking Blair from NYU to the uptown Ivy League school after a transfer.  In a twist, Page will allegedly be playing Serena’s professor, a surprise since she has not yet expressed interest in attending college on the show.  The latest Columbia story arc, combined with the Chuck-Bass-owns-the-Empire-Hotel story, will likely bring an increased presence to the UWS of Gossip Girl filming locations, so keep your eyes open if you are a fan, and try to avoid headbutting PA’s if you aren’t.
