If you’re looking for something to do in the neighborhood tonight, the Film Society of Lincoln Center has a great event this evening.
They’re screening Gates Of Heaven (1978), a documentary that Roger Ebert called one of the “10 greatest films ever made.” Following the screening, there will be a Q&A session with the film’s director, Academy Award winner Errol Morris.
Details and tickets are available at FilmLinc.com. The screening starts at 6:15 pm and runs 85 minutes. Tickets range in price from $9 to $13. FilmLinc’s Walter Reade Theater is located on West 65th, between Amsterdam & Broadway.
You can read Ebert’s 1997 review of the film here, and his original 1978 review here.
I dare you not to be intrigued.
