Growlers at Mel’s Burger Bar, Opening Tomorrow

mels-burger-bar-growlers Mel’s Burger Bar (Broadway between 110th and 111th) is getting very close to opening, with a grand opening scheduled for tomorrow, and we are getting some sneak peeks of what the eatery will have to offer. Earlier this month, we previewed the milkshake menu, and now, we are getting some info on the beer. Rather than pitchers, Mel’s will offer 32 oz. and 64 oz. growlers. For $4, you get a growler to keep, and then you can fill it with one of their refreshing beers for $7-$15 (32 oz.) or $15-$30 (64 oz.). Not only does the growler approach help us all be environmentally conscious, but it helps you pack up a great meal to-go… the “Mel’s To-Go” program offers such items as sacks of burgers, buckets of wings, slabs of ribs, and yes, growlers, for take-out.
