The Columbus Square development near Columbus and 97th is continuing to come to life, with the latest upcoming retail store announced for the development. Crain’s New York reports that HomeGoods, the designer furniture and home decor chain with 300 nationwide locations, will take a 26,000 square foot space in Columbus Square. The chain, which is a sister store to TJ Maxx (a current Columbus Square shopping option), signed a 10 year lease for the space at 795 Columbus, on the block between 98th and 99th. Plans are to open the new store early next year. Thanks to My Upper West reader Tiffany S. for the tip.
