Just because the Public Theater’s “Shakespeare In The Park” season has ended, it doesn’t mean Upper West Siders are left without free theater options. Hudson Warehouse’s 2011 season is still going strong, with performances continuing throughout August.

NY1 did a feature on Hudson Warehouse earlier in the month that I’ve kept forgetting to post. It’s ostensibly about HW’s July production of Chekhov’s “The Seagull,” but it provides a general overview of the company and its shows at the Soldiers’ & Sailers’ Monument in Riverside Park (at 89th).

There’s still time to head over tonight for the final performance of The Seagull at 6:30 pm (though I’d suggest arriving early). Starting next Thursday, Hudson Warehouse will stage their final production of the 2011 season, Shakespeare’s “Taming Of The Shrew,” which will run Thursday through Sunday evenings, every week in August.
