Impressive Reveal of 200 West

200 West, the new residential and retail building at 72nd and Broadway that has been under construction since 2008, raised a figurative curtain this week when they removed the construction shed surrounding the building and posted substantial details about the new space on its website. While the exterior of the building has received less-than-stellar reviews, the photos of the website of the soon-to-be-available rental units and amenities are drool-worthy. From the rooftop terrace with jaw-dropping views, an open-air fireplace, a 12 foot misting wall, and adjacent wet bar to the chandelier, travertine, and limestone-clad main lobby with a glass corridor leading to the elevators, the residential portion of the building is high-end and lovely. As for the retail space, which will include a highly anticipated Trader Joe’s and possibly a Bank of America, details are still being kept from the media. Also still unknown are the prices for the rental units in 200 West (although, we have to concur with Curbed that the apartments are probably not intended for those with a modest income). Read the full details and get your real estate porn (pictures of the residential part of 200 West) at Curbed or on the 200 West website.
