ING NYC Marathon Long Training Run #2
It’s time for the second portion of the marathon training runs! Join the New York Road Runners (NYRR) for a non-competitive run Saturday morning, bright and early at 7:00 am. The full course is a whopping 20 miles, but there are four loops, and individuals may shorten the distance of their run to as little as 6 miles to suit their training needs. The run starts and finishes at East Drive near 102nd in Central Park and runs a route through the four loops, all while remaining in the park. You can register before or on the event day (fees are slightly higher on event day), and the registration will get you water along the race, Gatorade Endurance Formula, pretzels, fruit, and PowerBar gels.
