Come to the Columbus Square Whole Foods Market (Columbus near 97th) tonight or upcoming Fridays through April 8th to enjoy some jazz while you pick up your groceries.  The Jazz Legend Spring Series, a weekly series of performances honoring the great musicians that played at Mikell’s Jazz Club, the former resident of 97th and Columbus, continues tonight with Fred Staton.  Staton started as a singer and drummer, switching to tenor saxophone as a teen in the early thirties, and has spent decades performing with and listening to the greats of the golden jazz era.
