There have been rumors of a longstanding rivalry between two of the queens of CNBC, Maria Bartiromo and Erin Burnett, and those rumors were further fueled after an event at the Empire Hotel (63rd between Broadway and Columbus) last Tuesday.   The New York Post reports that the event, a party for Bartiromo to celebrate the release of her new book, The 10 Laws of Enduring Success, brought out many notable CNBC figures, but there was one noticeable no-show.  Bartiromo celebrated with former GE chairman Jack Welch, CNBC colleagues Trish Regan, Scott Wapner, Michelle Caruso-Cabrera and Bob Pisani, as well at NBC chief Jeff Zucker, while Erin Burnett was conspicuously absent. The two have denied a rivalry, and CNBC reps gave no comment about the no-show, dismissing the issue due to Burnett’s 6:00 am start at the New York Stock Exchange the following morning.
