UPDATE - All Services Restored After UWS Water Main Break
A pre-dawn water main break on the Upper West Side caused subway closings and left residents without water as crews rush to repair the main. The 12-inch water main broke around 1:30 am Wednesday morning at Central Park West between 105th and 106th Streets, causing a disruption of the A, B, C, and D lines. The trains are running again, but residual delays are expected. The 200 or so families who lost water service will need to wait until at least noon today for water to be turned back on so that the break can be repaired. [Source: NBC New York, My Fox New York]
