Curbed reports that Matt Damon, who has been on a high-profile hunt for an Upper West Side apartment in recent months, may have actually purchased his new home.  A tipster to the website says that Damon has purchased a penthouse apartment in 535 West End Avenue (at 86th) for around $20 million.  There are several units in the building, which features an oasis-like swimming pool, a private lounge, and pristine top-of-the-line details in each bright, spacious apartment, at the $20 million price range.  Curbed did a little more digging and likely ruled out the “secret megapenthouse,” however, hearing that it was already claimed.  For now, nothing has been confirmed by 535 WEA or Damon’s reps, so we’ll just have to wait and see if Matt Damon and his family are officially soon-to-be Upper West Siders.
