Mayor Michael Bloomberg and Ono held a press conference outside of Lennon’s former residence, The Dakota (Central Park West at 72nd), on Friday to announce a premiere screening of a new Lennon documentary, according to Gothamist. LENNONYC, a film that focuses on the 1970s when Lennon was semi-retired from music and that will air on PBS on November 22nd, will premiere at Central Park’s SummerStage (mid-park, near 69th) on Lennon’s birthday, Saturday, October 9th. The screening is free and open to the public, so arrive early to grab a great seat and enjoy the show, sure to contain never-before-seen footage.
