Lincoln Triangle Barnes & Noble Closes January 2nd

lincoln_triangle_barnes_nobleThe sad closing of the Lincoln Triangle Barnes & Noble (Broadway at 66th) is right around the corner, with the bookstore officially shutting its doors on January 2nd.  If you are looking for an incredible deal on books, stop by the store this week and check out some of what is left of their inventory (they are working on clearing out stock by cutting prices by 50% or more).  Be sure to do it soon, though… Upper West Siders have been frantically scouring the shelves, and they are emptying quickly.  Once the store closes, its official future is uncertain, although rumors that a Century 21 will take its place are still alive.  While neighbors wait for plans for the space to solidify, they will have to venture uptown to get their Barnes & Noble fix… the store at 82nd and Broadway will remain open.
