Lineup Announced for the 48th Annual New York Film Festival
The Film Society of Lincoln Center will be putting on the 48th Annual New York Film Festival on September 24th through October 10th, highlighting the best in world cinema and featuring top films from celebrated filmmakers as well as fresh new talent. This year’s lineup was just announced, and film buffs will be excited to check out the full schedule of great and influential films coming out this year. The opening night film is a highly anticipated one… The Social Network, starring Jesse Eisenberg, Andrew Garfield, and Justin Timberlake, will kick off the festival on September 24th at Alice Tully Hall (65th between Broadway and Amsterdam) prior to its October 1st release through Sony Pictures Entertainment. A slew of high-quality films is then to be presented at the festival, with another exciting film receiving much media attention closing the festival out. Hereafter, the Clint Eastwood film starring Matt Damon, Cecile de France, Jay Mohr, and Bryce Dallas Howard, has been selected to close the festival on October 10th. Tickets for festival events go on sale on September 12th.
