As if I wasn’t already hungry enough, the New York Post has a nice write-up on the Luke’s Lobster guys (Luke Holden and Ben Conniff).
Their Upper West Side location is at 426 Amsterdam, between 80th & 81st. It’s only a few blocks away from me and I can vouch that it’s legit.
At some point I’d like to have an official “MyUpperWest Lobster Roll Showdown” between Luke’s, Ditch Plains, Mermaid Inn, and Ed’s Chowder House, as I haven’t the occasion to try the other three yet (no, I don’t have a good excuse for that).
If anyone has strong feelings about the lobster rolls at these places, feel free to share your thoughts at alerts [at] myupperwest [dot] com. If enough people write in, I might do a crowd-sourced review.
