Matt Damon a Soon-To-Be Upper West Sider?
Matt Damon has been apartment hunting in New York City recently, and New York Magazine reports that the actor has been eyeing a few spots on Central Park West. Damon, who owns a loft downtown on Lafayette Street, had been looking at the ritzy Fifth Avenue area, but with rejections of celebrities from exclusive co-ops being very common, he has started to look on the other side of the park. He has reportedly been checking out big pads overlooking the park in the Beresford (CPW between 81st and 82nd), where Jerry Seinfeld and Citigroup CEO Vikram Pandit have settled down and where Glenn Close just listed her breathtaking apartment, and in the Majestic (CPW at 72nd), where Conan O’Brien’s two-floor penthouse is for sale. While Damon has not yet found a home in the UWS, an anonymous My Upper West tipster saw Damon playing with his children in an Upper West Side playground recently. It sounds like he and his family are seriously considering becoming Upper West Siders in the near future.
