Matt Damon’s Upper West Side Apartment Hunt

Friday, March 26th, 2010

matt-damon-wifeA-lister Matt Damon has been on the hunt for an Upper West Side home for himself and his family lately, with a far-from-discrete search for a pad… each place he checks out seems to be an immediately-publicized event.  The Real Deal reports that Damon is currently living in a rental at the Belnord (225 West 86th, at Broadway), and although his apartment search has been widespread, looking at places on the UWS as well as the UES in recent months, he honed it down to the UWS last weekend.  Brokers tipped The Real Deal to the actor’s price range (around $12 million) as well as specific homes he viewed on his search this week.  Damon reportedly checked out the penthouse duplex at 271 Central Park West (near 87th) that belonged to veteran broker Agnes Nolan, as well as units in the Apthorp (Broadway at 79th) and Extell Development’s 535 West End Avenue (at 86th).  Previously, he had reportedly viewed apartments at 1010 and 1030 Fifth Avenue, units in the Beresford (Central Park West at 81st) and the Majestic (Central Park West at 72nd), and even the high-profile townhouse at 26 West 76th Street (near Central Park West).  No word yet on whether Damon has gotten closer to finding his Upper West Side dream home… keep checking My Upper West for updates!
