guster398px-lykke_liCentral Park’s SummerStage season is getting even closer, with the season’s free shows getting announced starting April 1st and more bands lined up to do benefit shows this summer.  This week, the City Parks Foundation announced that Guster, the Boston-born rock band with a great live show, will perform a SummerStage show with Jack’s Mannequin, the Andrew McMahon-led piano rock group.  The show, a paid event with proceeds benefiting free SummerStage shows, is slated to take place on Monday, August 8th, with tickets having gone on sale yesterday.

Another newly-announced SummerStage show will feature Swedish indie singer Lykke Li.  The artist will perform some of her big tracks, including songs off her newest album, Wounded Rhymes.  Tickets are also currently available through Ticketmaster for a Monday, August 1st performance.
