Posted earlier that Jerry Seinfeld is performing at the UWS Beacon Theatre on Thursday.

About 20 minutes after that, I randomly saw a tweet from @jonahweiner that brought me to a 1999 NYT “Letter To The Editor” Mr. Seinfeld wrote that’s titled: Upper West Side Defense.

That was written in response to an earlier NYT article titled The Sleepy Suburb That Is The Upper West Side.

Mr. Weiner’s tweet came about because earlier this week, Seinfeld wrote another letter to The Times, although this one had nothing to do with the UWS (other than the fact that he is an Upper West Sider).

It was in response to an article earlier this week by NYT critic Neil Genzlinger piece titled The ‘R’ Word: Really, Really Overused.

Both Seinfeld letters are great. The articles that prompted them? Not so much…

Anyway, through all of that, I found the great SNL clip below, circa 2010.

What’s my point? I have no idea — but it’s midnight and I thought this was funny.
