MyUpperWest Passes 2 Million Visitors — Thank You!!

Monday, June 18th, 2012

Just wanted to take a moment to say a quick thank you to everyone.

Earlier this month marked the three-year anniversary since MyUpperWest launched. On Friday, the site passed the 2 million visitor mark.

If you’re a long-time reader, you’ll recall that I took over the site from founders Lauren & Torrey in April 2011.

During that time, the site has seen about 1.5 million visits. I can’t thank people enough for the countless tips, photos, notes, comments, and incredibly thoughtful e-mails I’ve received.

There’s a good chunk of MyUpperWest that I simply would not be able to publish without help from readers, and I’m incredibly grateful for the support. You’ve helped grow MUW into one of the largest independent local websites in New York City.

The site is long overdue for a major redesign. I had planned on completing it by June 1st… 2011. That means I’m only about 14 1/2 months behind schedule, which is actually pretty good for me.

Unfortunately, MyUpperWest is a one-man-shop and I just haven’t had the time or resources to make many of the updates I’d like to. Eventually, changes will come, and hopefully they’ll make the site both easier to use and prettier to look at. If anyone has any specific suggestions, feel free to drop me a line.

Until then, thanks for reading.

-Mike

p.s. This seems like an opportune time to remind you that you can:
