As mentioned last month, the new Century 21 at Broadway & 66th is opening next Thursday, September 22nd.

If that’s too long to wait, they’re having a special soft-opening event tomorrow through Saturday.

The Shophound has some details (via Racked). The soft-opening is only for “C21 VIP Loyalty” card holders, but luckily it doesn’t take much to get one.

C21 employees have been signing people up on the street for the past few days. My girlfriend got one earlier in the week and MUW reader Gordon wrote in with his experience getting one on Sunday:

I was walking by the new Century 21 store and there were employees outside signing people up for their loyalty card. I signed up for one and you apparently get 100 points and an invitation to their soft opening on Thursday… the soft opening is only for people who have signed up for the loyalty card and it’s Thursday through Sunday this coming week before the official opening on September 22nd (confirmed by several employees).

For every dollar you spend during the soft opening, I think you get 3 points/$1 and after that, it’s 1 point/$1.  Once you reach 1,000 points, they send you a coupon voucher for $20.

Unfortunately, I’m unable to confirm at the moment whether or not they’re still signing people up today. If you’re in the area and are interested in attending one of the soft-open days this week, it might be worth stopping by to see if you can register. MUW reader Nellies tweeted in at 3:42 pm:

“Just walked by Century 21, they are still signing up outside the store!”

Alternatively, while you can’t sign up online, you CAN sign up by phone. They’ll have to mail you a card, but they can assign you a “Loyalty Number” immediately and I THINK that should enable to you attend the soft-open. To enroll, call 877-350-2121 (9 to 5 EST).
