NYC Half-Marathon Runs through Central Park this Sunday
It’s time for one of the biggest NYC races of the year! The 2010 NYC Half-Marathon is a 13.1-mile run taking place this Sunday that makes its way through Central Park and down to lower Manhattan. New York Road Runners announced the official course this week… the race will start on East Drive in Central Park near 95th, make a full clockwise loop around the park, and continue downtown to exit the park at Seventh Avenue towards Times Square. The course continues downtown, cutting over to the Hudson River waterfront and ending just south of Chambers Street. While entrance to the race is limited and the lottery that selects runners from the public has been drawn, you can still cheer on the runners as a spectator. Wake up early and make some noise to help the runners (including one My Upper West writer) keep their energy up along the course!
