The final installment of the Harry Potter series, Harry Potter And The Deathly Hallows: Part 2, has its celebrity premier at Lincoln Center tonight, and Pottermania is in full-effect.
According to Gothamist:
“The unwashed masses have been camped outside of Lincoln Center for days (some as long as a week!) in hopes of catching a glimpse of the stars as they enter the early evening premiere, which will be followed by an after party at the American Museum of Natural History.”
If you’re looking for video, NY1, Good Day New York, and PIX11 all had correspondents onsite today. This is similar to the scene last November for the premier of Harry Potter And The Deathly Hallows: Part 1, except it’s hotter outside.
Celebrities are supposed to start making their way down the red carpet at Alice Tully Hall around 5 pm today. If you’re not a Muggle-maniac, you might want to steer clear of Lincoln Center tonight. And if you’re a registered sex offender, you’re probably not legally allowed to be within 500 yards.
