“Occupy Wall Street” Solidarity March Hits The Upper West Side Later Today

Monday, November 7th, 2011

owsheaderIt was just over two weeks ago that Occupy Wall Street protesters marched on the Upper West Side (click here for video), starting at Broadway & 95th and finishing at Columbus Circle.

Today, the UWS will be the site of yet another march. A coalition of community organizations, elected officials, and labor unions plans to lead hundreds of uptown residents from Washington Heights to Zuccotti Park, passing right through the heart of the Upper West Side.

@ReporterLeslie has a brief write-up on DNAinfo.com — you can also read more details at endtoendfor99.blogspot.com.

Protestors started making their way south from 181st Street at 10:30 am. They are expected to hit 125th & Broadway sometime between 12:00 and 12:30 pm, and 72nd Street at roughly 1:30 pm.
