dali-time-warner1The Time Warner Center (Columbus Circle) is now showing a special exhibit, “Dali: Vision of a Genius.”  The exhibit, which opened earlier this week, features 16 Dali sculptures, some as tall as 16.5 feet, and 40 original drawings and paintings, all in their New York City debut, on display throughout the shops in the Time Warner Center.  All of the pieces are on sale, with prices ranging up to $1.6 million.  To celebrate the exhibit’s opening, Enrique Sabater y Bonany, curator of the drawings/paintings and former secretary to Dali, and Mr. Beniamino Levi, President of the Stratton Foundation and curator of the sculptures, co-hosted a cocktail reception on Thursday, and press and art enthusiasts alike converged to take a look at the fantastic exhibit.  If you didn’t make it to the cocktail party, don’t worry… the Dali exhibit will stay open in the Time Warner Center until April 30th, 2011.  Click through for more photos of some of the pieces on display.
