Opening Dates (Rumored and Official) of UWS Projects

apple-store-roof-novThe above photo, recently taken by ifoAppleStore and showing a much more complete roof with the as-expected eye-catching architecture, helps show just how close the Upper West Side Apple Store at 67th and Broadway is to opening.  In fact, the blog states that the rumored opening is on November 20th, only about two weeks away.  While an official opening date has not been announced, the store is certainly preparing for an upcoming opening, blocking off a large section of the surrounding sidewalks to prepare for a crowd at the grand opening, and putting security guards on patrol.

Another (more official) opening is Lincoln Center’s David Rubenstein Atrium on Broadway between 62nd and 63rd.  We have been following the renovations of the public space formerly known as the Harmony Atrium, and with the announcement that the space will be renamed in honor of philanthropist and donor David Rubenstein comes an official opening date, set at November 24th.  Mark your calendars to come visit the atrium, which will feature a day-of discount ticket box office, a cafe, an info desk, and free wi-fi access, among other attractions.

Update: A My Upper West tipster with knowledge of the event informed us that the Apple Store’s opening is happening next week.  Keep your eyes peeled!
