Openings and Closings in the Upper West Side

The Yolato store that was located on Broadway between 82nd and 83rd is officially permanently closed, according to West Side Spirit. The yogurt store, which opened in the spring of 2007, shut its doors on November 27th after struggling to stay open with sales dropping 10% last year.
In more positive news, the Upper West Side will soon have another free public space to enjoy, as the St. Agnes branch of the New York Public Library is scheduled to reopen on February 11th. West Side Spirit reports that the library, located on Amsterdam between 81st and 82nd, will reopen after a two-year, $9.1-million renovation that included a new elevator and exterior ramp, a children’s reading room equipped with 12 computers on the first floor, an adult/young adult reading room, a “Center for Reading and Writing” learning lab, and a community center.
