The big 2009 summer sale at Patagonia stores starts today, with 40%-60% off retail prices on their outdoor-geared clothing and accessories.  The sale takes place August 11th through August 20th at participating Patagonia stores, including the Upper West Side location at Columbus and 80th.

So load up on that windproof and waterproof gear while the discounts are good!
