As the New York Times reported yesterday, New York’s Tuesday night storm reaked havoc on Manhattan, particularly targeting Central Park, where high winds, hail, and rain caused destruction to trees that hasn’t been so severe in 30 years. The storm caused an early ending to the first night of Central Park’s Film Festival, along with the closing of the Conservatory Garden, North Meadow Ballfields, West 100th Street Playground, and East 110th Street Playground. Over 100 trees were destroyed, leaving a sad sight on Wednesday morning. Click through to see some photos of the damage.
