Photos of the Day: Celebs at Achilles Event in Central Park
The New York Road Runners’ 8th Annual Achilles Hope & Possibility event took place in Central Park yesterday, bringing out 6,000 runners, walkers, and wheelchair racers for a five miler. Among the participants and supporters were some major celebs, from Heather Mills, who gave a moving pre-race speech; Prince Harry (above), who walked with disabled veterans; Cindy and Meghan McCain, who also came out to support the cause; and Governor David Paterson, working to bring awareness and funds to Achilles International, which helps athletes with disabilities prepare for races and marathons. Click through for a few photos of the event’s celebs, many courtesy of New York Road Runners.
