If you weren’t lucky enough to snag a ticket to one of Paul Simon’s two sold-out shows at the Beacon earlier this week, the New York Post has a recap of some of the highlights for you.

As Simon started his show on Tuesday, he stood center-stage and said “It’s a little unnerving and exhilarating to be playing in my exact neighborhood.”

Despite nearing his 70th birthday, The Post reports his voice still has “the force of youth,” hitting the high notes “effortlessly.”

The show was a mix of old and new (his new album, “So Beautiful or So What” dropped last month), with new song “Rewrite” being well-received.

He closed the show, fittingly, with “Still Crazy After All These Years.”

The article also makes reference to the opening line of “Sound Of Silence” (“Hello darkness, my old friend…”) which is now stuck in my head, mostly because I don’t know any of the other lyrics, so I just keep singing that first line over, and over, and over again. It was fun for the first two minutes and now it’s kind of ruined my day…
