If you are a Columbia student, or if you happen to be a member of the Columbia Alumni Arts League (CAAL), now there are some great discounts for you at Upper West Side restaurants.  The Arts Initiative at Columbia University created partnerships with over 30 New York restaurants to provide special offers to current Columbia University students, faculty, staff, and alumni.  In order to receive these benefits, students need only present a valid CUID at a participating restaurant.  Faculty, staff, and alumni receive these restaurant benefits by joining the CAAL and presenting their CAAL card.  Enjoy discounts like 10% off your entire bill at Hummus Place (Broadway between 98th and 99th), 20% off your entire bill at Sol y Sombra (Amsterdam at 82nd), or a free order of edamame per table at Haru (Amsterdam at 81st).  Check out the CU Arts website for a full list of restaurant discounts.
