If you are a runner who wants to race but isn’t crazy about running in the mid-summer heat, Saturday’s run is for you.  The New York Road Runners’ Dash & Splash is a 10K race in Central Park followed by a refreshing dip in Lasker Pool (east side of park near 107th).  The race starts on Central Park’s East Drive near 101st Street, makes its way around the full outer loop of the park, and ends on the 102nd Street Transverse.  From 9:30 am to 11:00 am (after you finish racing), Lasker Pool will be open exclusively to NYRR runners.  Registration is still open, so sign up, get your run in, and enjoy the post-race refresher.
