Tuesday, September 1st, 2009

night-sky-amnh Come to the American Museum of Natural History (Central Park West at 79th) tonight for another fun special event!  On the first Tuesday of each month, the museum puts on an event as part of the “Virtual Universe” series, which is supported by NASA and tours the universe using the world’s largest cosmic atlas.  Tonight’s event, “Science for the Stargazer,” will take a stargazer’s two-dimensional view of the stars in the night sky and make it three-dimensional, helping you see where celestial objects actually exist and discover why astronomers only find them in certain parts of the sky.  Tickets can be purchased online or at the museum (if available).
