First H & H leaves the neighborhood, now Seinfeld?

The New York Post is reporting that Upper West Side fixture Jerry Seinfeld and his wife are looking at townhouses on the UES.

Seinfeld currently lives at the tony Beseford (211 Central Park West) but was spotted checking out a 6-bedroom, 8-bathroom townhouse at 1 east 94th over the weekend. It’s listed for $26 million (down from $28 million last year).

According to The Post, the 25-foot-wide, Cass Gilbert-designed limestone manse (last sold for $9.175 million in 2000) is fully renovated and offers an elevator, six fireplaces, a gym, a planted terrace off the full-floor master suite, a garden, a garage and Central Park views.

Rumor has it the Seinfelds are also looking at a $23 million townhouse at 26 East 73rd.
