Silk Road Exhibit Opens at AMNH Today

The American Museum of Natural History (Central Park West at 79th) is opening a new exhibition today, “Traveling the Silk Road: Ancient Pathway to the Modern World,” and My Upper West got a sneak peek. The exhibition recreates the greatest trading route in history, the Silk Road, and allows you to take the journey while learning about the route’s history. The museum follows the pathway that takes you through ancient cities in the Middle East and Asia during the period from AD 600 to 1200. You can have your passport stamped as you travel through the route, exploring the spectacular sights, exquisite silks, and routing stories. The exhibition, opening today and running until next summer, gives you one more reason to come out to the museum and enjoy a fun and educational day.
