Mel’s Burger Bar, a soon-to-be-open burger joint from the people behind Patsy’s Pizzeria (several locations, including one at 74th between Central Park West and Columbus), is gearing up for an August 17th opening at Broadway and 111th, and My Upper West was lucky enough to get a sneak peek of their milkshake menu.  Hope you keep your mouth closed when reading the below milkshake choices to avoid drooling on yourself… Mel’s is teaming up with Queens-based homemade ice cream maker Max and Mina’s Ice Cream to offer an array of virgin and spiked milkshakes.  Check out the milkshake menu below, and check back to My Upper West for updates on the Mel’s Burger Bar opening.

Virgin Milkshakes ($7)

• Cookie Monster: Vanilla Ice Cream and Three Kinds of Cookies
• PB&J: Peanut Butter and Jelly Ice Cream

• Mochaliscious: Mocha Chip Ice Cream, Chocolate Syrup
• Circus: Cotton Candy Ice Cream

Spiked Milkshakes ($12)

• Shot of Joe: Mocha Chip Ice Cream, Kahlua, Bailey’s
• Tennessee Jed: Vanilla Ice Cream, Caramel, Jack Daniel’s
• Ja Love: Vanilla Ice Cream, Pineapple Juice, Malibu Rum
• After Dinner Mint: Mint Oreo Cookie Ice Cream, Peppermint Schnapps
