The Beacon Theatre (Broadway at 74th) has been show-less for the past few weeks as they prepare for a big upcoming production, the newest Cirque du Soleil show called Banana Shpeel.  As the production is nearing its February 25th debut, the theater is close to being staged for the vaudeville/comedy/tap/hip hop/eccentric dance/slapstick show.  Next week, the Beacon and Cirque du Soleil are giving the public an exciting opportunity to get a sneak peek of the venue and the production.  Wednesday’s free open house offers tours of the recently restored, gorgeous Beacon, a New York City Interior Landmark.  In addition, get a look at the creative process behind Banana Shpeel, meet and greet Cirque du Soleil artists, and enjoy a tasting from area restaurants and businesses.  Don’t miss this awesome free event at the Beacon.
